Mobiltea ist ein mobiles Tee-Cafe, welches die unterschiedlichsten Tee Kulturen nach Essen bringt. Bei einer Tasse kommen Menschen aus allen Kulturen zusammen. Das Inertior des Teewagen ist auf die Bedürfnisse der Helfer und Besucher abgestimmt.
Mobiltea is a mobile tea cafe that brings a variety of tea cultures to Essen (Germany). People from all cultures come together over a cup. The inertior of the tea trolley is adapted to the needs of the helpers and visitors.
Das Projekt ist eine partizipative Design-Kooperation zwischen der Folkwang Universität der Künste und MobiliTEA.
Zu Beginn der Zusammenarbeit bestand das mobile Tee-Café von Laura Schöler aus einem Fahrrad mit Anhänger, sollte aber motorisiert werden, um eine größere Reichweite zu haben und wetterunabhängig zu sein.
Während des Projekts besuchte ich ein- bis zweimal pro Woche Veranstaltungen von MobiliTEA. Durch die partizipative Zusammenarbeit konnte ich meine eigenen Erfahrungen/Beobachtungen und die Ideen der Bürger und des MobiliTEA-Teams in meinen Entwurfsprozess des Piaggio Porter's Box-Designs integrieren.
The project is a participatory design collaboration between Folkwang University of the Arts and MobiliTEA.
The beginning of the cooperation the mobile tea cafe from Laura Schöler consisted of a bicycle with trailer, but should be motorized to have a larger range and to be weather independent.
During the project, I attended MobiliTEA events once or twice a week. Through participatory collaboration, I was able to integrate my own experiences/observations and the ideas of citizens and the MobiliTEA team into my design process of the Piaggio Porter's box design.
Das neue MobiliTea Fahrzeug, ein Piaggio Porter mit Kofferaufbau, bietet der Projektleiterin Laura und einer Begleitperson die Möglichkeit alle aktuellen Teekulturen schnell und sicher in die verschiedenen Nachbarschaften zu transportieren. Dabei sind die Aufbewahrungsmöglichkeiten und Präsentationsflächen so variabel nutzbar, dass in den folgenden Jahren weitere Teekulturen aufgenommen werden können.
The new MobiliTea vehicle, a Piaggio Porter with box construction, offers the project manager Laura and an accompanying person the possibility to transport all current tea cultures quickly and safely to the various neighborhoods. At the same time, the storage options and presentation areas can be used variably enough to accommodate additional tea cultures in the years to come.
Das Konzept des Interieurs ist ein L-förmiges Schubladensystem, welches mittig des Wagens verläuft und diesen in zwei Arbeitsbereiche einteilt. Auf der einen Seite findet die Zubereitung des Tees statt. Vom Kochfeld aus ist es möglich alle nötigen Utensilien, die zur Zubereitung verschiedener Teekulturen benötigt werden zu erreichen. Gleiches gilt für die Seite auf der gespült wird. Am Ende des Kraftfahrzeugs befindet sich eine ausklappbare Präsentationsfläche, welche gleichzeitig als Erweiterung der Arbeitsfläche und Theke funktioniert. Jedem Gegenstand ist eine feste Position im Schubladensystem zugeordnet.
The concept of the interior is an L-shaped drawer system, which runs through the middle of the trolley and divides it into two working areas. On one side, the preparation of the tea takes place. From the hob it is possible to reach all the necessary utensils needed for the preparation of various tea cultures. The same applies to the side on which rinsing takes place. At the end of the motor vehicle there is a fold-out presentation surface, which at the same time functions as an extension of the work surface and counter. Each item is assigned a fixed position in the drawer system.
Die Aufbewahrung der verschiedenen Teesorten und Teegläser macht das Mobilitea Fahrzeug einzigartig und zeigt dessen Funktion als Teewagen. Im Design spiegeln sich hauptsächlich die türkische Teekultur, durch die Verwendung von Stahl und die marrokanische Teekultur durch die Verwendung von marrokaischen Fliesen wieder.
The storage of the different kinds of tea and tea glasses makes the Mobilitea vehicle unique and shows its function as a tea trolley. The design mainly reflects the Turkish tea culture, through the use of steel and the Moroccan tea culture through the use of Moroccan tiles.
Der Entwurf diente als Vorlage und wurde von Teilnehmern des Projekts "Jugendwerkstatt für Jungen" und Auszubildenden aus dem Bereich "Metallbau" in den Werkstätten der Jugendberufshilfe Essen umgesetzt.
The design served as a template and was implemented by participants in the "Youth Workshop for Boys" project and trainees from the "Metal Construction" area in the workshops of "Jugendberufshilfe Essen".
